DESCRIPTION
Beautiful fused dichroic glass drop earrings made by fusing a dichroic glass with a pink honeycomb/hexagon pattern over blue glass and firing in a kiln heated to up to 750C. The earrings are approximately 2cm x 1cm and the drop from the earlobe including the wire comes to about 3cm. The earrings are attached to 925 sterling silver ear wires from a hook made from copper wire which is fused into the glass itself for extra strength.
As well as being a beautiful addition to your jewellery collection, these earrings makes an ideal and original birthday, anniversary, Christmas, thank you, or Mothers Day gift for a special person in your life.
Each piece of jewellery is handmade by Eva in Bristol, UK, by fusing together transparent and dichroic glass in a kiln heated to around 800C and allowed to cool very slowly. Placing clear glass on top of the bottom coloured layer gives a shiny, glossy finish and magnifies the colours of the dichroic glass underneath.
Dichroic glass has a unique property of reflecting one colour while transmitting another. This makes the colours of the finished piece change when it moves and means every single piece is completely unique.
