The Bristol Blue colour is a deep cobalt blue.  Originally the copper oxide was imported into Bristol hence glass blowers began using to create this extraordinary blue!

Blue glass drop pendant necklace on a sterling silver chain. The blue colour is made by adding cobalt oxide to the glass which is then lampworked and fired in the furnace on glass canes. The result is a rich, intense blue colour like no other.
